
Fellow Olympians, it’s time for another Jock Studio Development Update, featuring news & previews from what the team has been up to over the past month! Please read the full content of the update, as it contains news for all fans of Jock Studio and BLits Games!
Development Diary #23 – New Backgrounds, Status Effects, Puppet Animations, Character Sprites, and Character Interactions!

Let’s dive straight into our Twenty-third Development Diary, showcasing updates from our various departments and what they’ve been working on since our last update!
Part 1 – Olympus City Map Preview
Starting off, we have an exciting new preview from the background department – our concept artist, Sana, has been working closely with Zael and Zemyx to work on the second, and equally as important, map for the world of Jock Studio – Olympus City! Check out a concept sketch below, revealing the full city for the first time:

Now that’s quite the crazy looking city! Revealed in full for the first time, Olympus City is the home of the aptly named Olympus University and is a core part of Jock Studio’s gameplay! Starting on the Fourth Week of the game, you will gain access to Olympus City, taking your fellow Jocks on dates, searching for items, seeking sidequests, and more!
To make your exploration easier, Olympus City is divided into zones, some of which you’ve already seen some previews for! Check out a quick summary of each zone below:
- Olympus University – The campus of our favorite school, and the main place you’ll be spending your time in game!
- Santomarino & Mythokos – The two beach-side areas of the town, full of tourist traps, restaraunts, hotels and more! We’ve already previewed a few locations from here!
- The Agora – A massive shopping complex filled with big-box stores, collectible shops, fine dining and more!
- Business District – Where all the fancy stuff happens – as well as some of the shady stuff too. Home to the city’s famous Red Light District!
- Acropolis– A nature-filled, fun location to exercise, see some sites, or maybe even have a special festival or two…
Each of these zones will be visitable inside of Jock Studio, and just like Olympus University, each will have their own set of travelable locations with plenty of things to do! You can look forward to more previews of the City Map as we continue working on it, as well as previews of the various locations around the city in future development updates!
Part 2 – Status Effects!
Next up, we have a preview from our Graphics Department – our Graphic Designer, Peach, has been working on creating icons for the various Status Effects throughout Jock Studio – check out their icons, as well as the names of the statuses, below!

First experienced during Demo 2.0, Status Effects are various buffs and debuffs that can affect Ace throughout the gameplay – they might provide a helpful effect to his performance stats or actively lower his energy levels. Status effects can occur through various means of gameplay – eating meals, consuming items, overexerting yourself, and more! During the game you’ll find out what each does, and which ones you want to apply to yourself (or desperately want to avoid!)
Part 3 – Puppet Animation Preview: Dressed to Impress!
Next up, our animation department has continued to work on the puppet animations, and we have a different flavor of preview to show you! While all of the animations you’ve seen in previews so far feature the Jocks in their birthday suits, our artists haven’t been creating costume art for the puppets for nothing – JustSyl has been working to implement those new clothes onto the puppets during animation! Check it out below:
As seen in Demo 2.0 as well as various previews, the Jocks have a whole host of costumes available to dress-up in, available in both the Photoshoot and Filming Minigames! Each costume has a different buff / use, and you’ll have to experiment to see which outfit combos work the best for your gameplay (or just pick the sexiest ones!)
We’ll have more clothed puppet previews as time goes on, but don’t worry – naked is always an option, for those who just want to see the goods!
Part 4 – Character Interaction Interface
Next up, our Programming Department has an exciting preview to show off – the Character Interaction Interface! Worked on by Mz, this interface allows you to customize each interaction with the Jock of your choice, whenever you encounter them on the map! Check it out:
To truly make your experience with each Jock special, we’ve created the above Character Interaction Interface! With this interface, you can choose various different actions you wish to perform with the Jock – whether that’s a quick chat, studying together, or even a quick hookup, the choices are up to you!
You can also find specific events through interactions with the Jocks – each of these events will teach you something new about the Jock, as well as reward you with (potentially) even some scenario with an artwork feature, so be sure to memorize and take note of their schedules and hang out with your favorites as much as you can!
Part 5 – Sprite Costume Previews
Finally, to wrap-up this development diary, we’ve previewed tons of different side character concepts over the last few development updates in their casual attire, as well as shown off the main Jocks in a special Toga attire, which will be used in the Festival Stretch Goal Arc of the game!
But what if the side characters also had Toga outfits? Good news, they do! Check out a preview of the Toga Attire for the side characters, worked on by Zael, AlexW and Magia, below!

Everyone’s looking festive in their own unique ways – and they can even rival the Jocks when it comes to handsomeness! Each of the above side characters will play a crucial role in the Jock’s stories inside the Festival Arc, which will be revealed in the main game!
These aren’t the only new costumes for our side characters too, but we’ll save the rest for a future development update! Stay tuned!
BLits is Hiring – Background Artists & Animators!

That’s all for this Development Diary, Olympians, but we have one last piece of news to share – BLits is hiring! Right now, we’re looking to expand two different roles:
- Background Artists: We are looking for talented Background Artists who can paint backgrounds for our products. Our team has a skilled team that provides detailed sketches and instructions, but we need additional help on the painting and execution side!
- Erotic Illustration Animators: We are looking for a dedicated animator who will be working on animated illustrations with our team. There is no specific software request, as long as it can export seamlessly looped videos. Our current team works with Live2D, Moho and Spine, using these programs is appreciated but not required. Experience with both looped and non-looped sequences is required, and experience with physics modules is preferred (hair physics, pendulums, bounces etc). Experience with special effects (water, liquids, lights etc) is appreciated. Experience in NSFW animations is not required but highly recommended. Please be informed that this position will primarily work with explicit, adult NSFW Gay/BL illustrations

Btw, I’m not trying to disrespect the animator’s work, but if it is possible that when you already hire an erotic animator in the future, with their new skills and assets to the team, are you going to remake the scenes from Demo 1 and 2? (preferably) like the b\0wjob scenes from Demo 2?
Sorry, I just feel a bit disappointed in Yuuto’s blow scene with Ace. From what I read, he was bobbing and going fast in his C0ck, right? But in the animated scene, he was just staying still when he was doing it. I’m asking if it is okay to make him move more like Hunter’s blowjob scene with Keitaro, hehe…
Again, I’m not saying I hate the animation; I’m just giving you my honest opinion because I feel like it’s missing some touches and adjustments, so I hope you take my comment/suggestion into mind, ok?
But keep up the good work. I will be rooting for you along with the other fans and supporters.

And I have a question, with the problems on itch.io… is the pre-order that included the soundtrack and manual no longer available, or do you plan to sell those bonuses on another platform? Sorry for asking, I was really looking forward to buying that version ;-;

A more comprehensive view of the town for Jock Studio was not expected but none the less brilliant!
Are you going to have the CGs be unlocked by collecting coins in the minigames like with previous titles? If yes could you make it easier/cheaper to unlock them or something like one coin each? Since there will be so many and to avoid grinding.
I got some questions, In the video with Leo with the sex stuff you showcased, will it have “Repeatable” CG image, or will it cut to black screen? Also, is there a chance you could have a option to turn off any game over stuff in the options if there’s one in the game, for people who just wanna enjoy the game casually, Also, will the head from the people be shown over places, so you dont have to save and reload constantly if you are looking for someone?
thank you for working so hard! i have a question, recently i’ve learned that the steam version of cb:ss is lacking a little bit of content from the full game. is there a risk of jock studio steam ver. not being the full game? as someone who picked the steam version on kickstarter i’ve started worrying a little.
We don’t intend for there to be any significant content differences between the steam
version and other versions. Ultimately, of course, that decision is up to steam as far as what they will allow on their platform, but we don’t anticipate there being any issues with this.
All I ask is would you be transparent if anything would be changed\omitted for the Steam release? This way people can be better informed on which version of Jock Studio to play.
In the event that there are significant differences, we’ll be as transparent as possible. If this does happen, we’d give our backers and preorder customers the option to switch their platform preference.
Cannot wait to explore Olympus City with the boys!

I really appreciate these development updates! It feels like no modern game companies care enough to do things like this. Theyll leave you in the dark after dropping a random trailer and then you dont even know what to expect. It really shows your guys care for your community and your work!
